Encora [Daitan] (São Paulo, BR)

Software Development Manager (June 2021 - July 2022)

• Business & People Partner, leading teams in the development of Edge Computing and Private Clouds applications of a US-based customer (Alameda, California).

• Currently working with state-of-art technologies and best practices including Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD (Jenkins), Test Automation, DevOps, Technical Writing (RST), and Cloud Computing.

• Responsible for coordinating several squads in software planning, development, testing, and deployment. Acting as a middle-man between developers (Daitan) and key customer stakeholders.

• Establish and roll out better development practices for high-performance teams in order to improve productivity and product quality, including agile practices, knowledge management, status reporting, team members allocation, newcomers hiring, and career development.


Samsung [SIDIA] (Manaus, BR)

SW Project Leader, Mobile Product Software (November 2018 - June 2021)

• Responsible for the software release for Samsung smartphones for LATAM market.

• Act as main interface between Latin American telecommunication companies and Samsung Technical Groups in Brazil and South Korea, to develop and enable new features to Samsung devices.

• Experience working with enterprise customers in tech support and product management, focusing on mutual benefit and long-term satisfaction.

• In the first quarter of 2019, was responsible for the Security Upgrade of 2.1 million Samsung Galaxy J5 customers phones in 9 Latin American countries.


LG Electronics (São Paulo, BR)

SW Project Leader/Research Engineer, Mobile Communications (May 2015 – September 2018)

• Responsible for the release of LG X Power, LG K10, LG Stylus 3 and LG X Cam smartphones for LATAM market and for the Android Upgrade for LG G5 and LG G Flex 2 devices. Each device has 30+ versions to be released – with very tight deadlines – to achieve assembly schedule and Smartphone Release Date.

• Led 6 R&D projects for mobile devices in different research areas, including: Internet of Things, big data/analytics, image and camera tools, audio processing (text-to-speech) and parallel computing (multi-core systems optimization).

• Managed a cross-functional team of 10 in 3 locations (Seoul, São Paulo and Fortaleza), ranging from entry-level to Ph.D. analysts to develop a low-energy-cost/high-performance solution for parallel computing on Android devices.

• Act as main technical leader in research projects, promoting knowledge transfer from partners to internal engineering areas, creating technical documentation, developing and integrating software solutions and evaluating technical results – deciding if the technology should be embedded in the next models or not.

• Co-work with other International LG R&D laboratories (US and South Korea) and Latin America LG branch offices to develop joint projects. Communication in English and Spanish.

Project Management Consultant (June 2014 – February 2015)

• Participated in team management process to develop vision and mission statements, establish KPIs and implement agile methods.

• The company is focused on migrating a client/server platform to an internet solution and guidance is provided about best practices in software architecture.


Itaú Unibanco (São Paulo, BR)

IT Analyst, Market Risk (January 2012 – April 2015)

• Joined the company through the highly competitive Trainee Selection Process (2012).

• Acted as Scrum Master and Agile coach of pioneer agile teams: coached new development teams in agile methods and project management to be applied in financial projects (assets, pricing, and market risk).

• Led agile development teams and manage architecture and development of risk calculators using agile practices (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and enforcing the use of test driven development (TDD) e continuous integration (CI).

• In 2014, led 4+ agile teams on 12 projects related to Basel II Program. The teams managed to deliver 100% of the defined scope (plus new requirements identified while the projects were ongoing), adjusting the market risk platform of Itaú Unibanco to the internal ratings-based (IRB) approach of Basel II Capital Accord. On 2015, after the implementation of the program results, the Basel Ratio rose from 15% to 17.78%. For this work, received the "2014 High Performance Prize”.


ITA, Aeronautical Institute of Technology and INPE, National Institute of Space Research

Researcher/M.Sc. Candidate (August 2010 – December 2012)

• Designed a discrete-event system model to validate all software states and interfaces for ITASAT, the first Brazilian university satellite.

• Performed tests and experiments with different real-time operating systems and components to validate the fault-tolerant system designed for the satellite. This process helped the Development team to rewrite and improve software safety requirements.

NSHT, Occupational Safety and Hygiene Lab

Mechatronics Engineering Internship (November 2009 – June 2010, 08 months)

• Inspected the safety of civil/construction engineering machines and equipment, interacting with customers, partners, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Created checklists, reports and KPIs for all mechanical inspections.
