Technical Solutions Consultant, Technical Account Manager (since Aug 2022)

• Responsible for driving successful cellular device launches in Latin America. Collaborated closely with wireless carriers in Brazil and the region to ensure smooth integration of new devices and features, including Satellite Direct to Cell connectivity, 5G (NSA/SA), LTE, VoLTE, WiFi Calling, and eSIM. 

• Successfully navigated complex technical challenges by analyzing network logs, OS docs and GSMA and 3GPP standards, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating resolutions with cross-functional teams. 

• Played a key role in enabling carrier requirements and driving product roadmaps that met the unique needs of the Latin American market.

Encora Brasil (Campinas, BR)

Software Development Manager (June 2021 - July 2022)

• Engineering & People Partner, leading teams in the development of Edge Computing and Private Clouds applications of a US/CA-based customer (Alameda, California and Toronto, Ontario).

• Responsible for coordinating several squads in software planning, development, testing, and deployment. Acting as a middle-man and technical consultant between developers (Daitan) and key customer stakeholders - including C-Level.

• Propose, establish and roll out better development practices for high-performance teams in order to improve productivity and product quality, including agile practices, knowledge management, status reporting, team topologies, and career development.

• Hiring Process: Responsible for screening, interviewing and hiring new developers.

Sidia/Samsung R&D Institute (Manaus, BR)

Software Project Team Coordinator (July 2020 – June 2021)

• Acted as Program Manager and Team Leader, coordinating three squads of 10+ Software Project Leaders and a portfolio of 50+ strategic Samsung smart devices projects for LA.

• Proposed team topologies to re-organize squads and led SW Release and Production plans and process improvement across teams. 

Software Project Leader (November 2018 – July 2020)

• Responsible for the mobile device release management of Samsung smartphones for the LATAM market. Main Project Leader and Release Manager of Samsung best-selling smartphones (A01 Core, 06 million units in LA).

• Act as the main interface between Latin American carrier customers and Samsung Technical Groups in Brazil and South Korea, to develop and enable new features on Samsung devices. Work across teams, with a wide range of stakeholders, and elbow-to-elbow with software developers and validation engineers, as well as with partner product teams.

• Responsible for the OS Upgrade and Security Upgrade of about 2.5 million devices in 16 Latin American countries.

LG Electronics (São Paulo, BR)

Software Project Leader/Research Engineer (May 2015 – September 2018)

• Responsible for the release of six LG Smartphones (X Power, K10, G5, Stylus 3, X Cam, GFlex 2) for the Latin American market. Each device had 30+ customized software versions to be managed – with very strict deadlines – to adhere to the factory assembly schedule.

• Co-work with other International LG R&D laboratories (USA, South Korea) and Latin American LG branch offices to develop joint projects. 

• Act as Tech Lead and Consultant in R&D projects for mobile devices in different research areas, including: Internet of Things, big data/analytics, image and camera tools, text-to-speech and parallel computing (multi-core systems optimization). Joined the decision-making processes of if the technology should be embedded in the next LG models or not. The implementation of these technologies led to savings in Intellectual Property (IP) Royalty payments. 

• Managed a cross-functional team of 10 engineers in three locations (Seoul, São Paulo and Fortaleza), ranging from entry-level to Ph.D. analysts to develop a low-energy-cost/high-performance solution for parallel computing on Android devices.

• Joined through the Trainee Selection Process (0.3% acceptance rate).

• Acted as Scrum Master and Agile Coach of pioneer agile teams: coached new development teams to be applied in financial projects (assets, pricing, market risk).

• Successfully led 4 dev teams across 12 Basel II projects, exceeding expectations by delivering 100% of the defined scope and incorporating new critical requirements.
